From the 1st of October 2022 Hoppers Lane General Practice transitioned to be a Mixed Billing Clinic.
This means that patients now incur an out-of-pocket fee (Gap) with a Medicare Rebate when consulting with a GP. (This includes both Face to Face and Telephone Consultations).
To secure an appointment, patients are required to provide their Visa/Master Card details upon booking.
Once Card details are provided, this is consent for Hoppers Lane General Practice to deduct the charge for the consultation.
To avoid being charged a Did Not Attend (DNA) Fee of $45.00, it is essential that patients notify the Clinic at least 2 hours prior to the Consultation time.
If this is not communicated, the DNA Fee will be charged to that card.
After hours fees apply for all patients for the following time frames: From 8.00 pm Monday-Friday. From 1.00 pm Saturday and All Day Sunday.
All accounts must be finalised on the day of the consultation to ensure future bookings can be made. Patients with outstanding accounts will not be able to book in for another appointment.
Children under 16 years, Pension and Health Care Card Holders, Veteran Affairs and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders will continue to be bulk billed.
