Dr John Meenan

Dr John graduated from the University of Glasgow Medical School in 2016 and went on to complete further medical training in England, gaining experience across a range of specialties, including acute and emergency medicine, haematology, and care of the elderly. These formative years were invaluable in shaping his clinical skills and deepening his understanding of high-quality, compassionate patient care. He felt a strong calling towards community-based medicine, which led Dr John to pursue a career as a General Practitioner.
During his GP training, Dr John further expanded his clinical experience in public health, paediatrics, and obstetrics and gynaecology, and completed his training in 2024. His approach to medicine is patient-centred, grounded in building trusted, long-term relationships. Dr John is passionate about empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health and supporting them in improving their overall quality of life.
In addition to Dr John’s medical background, he holds a degree in mathematics and a diploma in data science. In the final year of his GP training, Dr John was selected as a South London Climate Scholar, where he worked on initiatives aimed at creating a more sustainable and environmentally conscious healthcare system.
Now based in Melbourne, Dr John is enjoying getting to know the city, exploring its cultural offerings and natural landscapes with his wife in his spare time.
