Dr Saipriya (Priya) Pravin
FRACGP
I’m Dr Saipriya (Priya) Pravin, a UK-trained Specialist General Practitioner. I will be joining Hoppers Lane GP from late October 2026. I’ve been working in general practice since 2016, caring for patients and families across all stages of life.
I’m a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and a member of the Australasian Menopause Society (AMS). I have a particular interest in women’s health, ADHD and preventative healthcare.
Women’s health is an area I’m especially passionate about. I enjoy caring for women through different stages of life, including menstrual health, contraception, preconception care, perimenopause and menopause, and hormone therapy. I also have experience with procedures including IUD and Implanon procedures.
I also have a special interest in ADHD assessment and management. I can assess and diagnose children aged 6 years and over, adolescents and adults, and provide ADHD medication prescribing and ongoing management, where clinically appropriate.
My approach to medicine is centred on treating the person, rather than simply the disease. A quote from Sir William Osler that particularly resonates with me is:
“The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease.”
I believe that taking the time to listen and understand a person’s individual circumstances, concerns and goals is an important part of good healthcare. I aim to provide empathetic, evidence-based and collaborative care, working together with my patients to develop a plan that is right for them.
I also have a strong interest in medical education, having taught and supported medical students and junior doctors throughout my career.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family and children. I love Pilates, mindfulness and long walks, particularly by the beach, and I value finding balance and wellbeing alongside a busy professional and family life.
I’m looking forward to meeting you and your family at Hoppers Lane GP.
