Travel Health

Many Diseases which you may be at risk whilst travelling can be prevented by immunisation with vaccines.

Some illnesses you can catch overseas can be prevented with immunisation.

Anyone planning on travelling should check with their GP at least 6 weeks before your holiday. If is important to not wait until the last minute to visit your doctor to discuss the 8immunisation needs for your trip. It is recommended you get vaccinated at least 4 to 6 weeks at least before you travel.  Sometimes you may only need a booster or children may need their childhood boosters.

Some vaccines require a number of doses or a certain amount of time after vaccination for your body to develop full immunity.

Hoppers Lane General Practice has many vaccines on site for convenience and at a competitive price. We are also a Yellow Fever immunisation centre.
